"Przeciszów" forest reserve
Surface area: 85.13 ha; it was set up in 1996. Like "Żaki" reserve, it occupies a part of the right-bank Vistula Valley. The reserve protects a forest complex that has preserved its original character, dominated by sub-continental oak-hornbeam forest, with an over 100-year-old oak stand. Local hollows of the terrain are covered with ash tree-alder carrs. A lot of rare and protected plants and birds occur here. Among the plants, occurrence of the giant horsetail Equisetum telmateia, the broad-leaved helleborine Epipactis helleborine, the mezereon Daphne mezereum and the dwarf periwinkle Vinca minor should be emphasised. Some birds nesting here are e.g. the middle spotted woodpecker Dendrocopos medium, the spotted flycatcher Muscicapa striata and the pied flycatcher Ficedula hypoleuca.
